So anyway, our last anniversary was spent in Thunderbird Resorts in La Union Pangasinan. It was a very nice hotel yes but to be honest, a little too pricey for it's location. It doesn't have the best beach so it tries to make up for it with its huge swimming pool and its own golf course (as of December though it only had 9 holes). It has it's own casino which I guess is the main attraction of the place. However, having my brother's little kids around didn't really give us a chance to try our luck with the slot machines. So I can't really say if the casino was nice or not. Oh and another downside was the service. The waiting staff seemed to be all new and in training still so service was pretty bad. We'd get our orders maybe an hour after we ordered them (including the drinks). And for some reason, waiters kept on asking if we wanted our beers "on the rocks"? Now that's new!
Thank God for the beautiful sunset and the company. This trip turned out to be another one for the books.
