It's sooo worth it! I'm not one to spend on books, but I think every Filipina should invest in a copy. I'm lucky that my dad and I share the same interests, and that we happened to visit National Bookstore during one of the very few Saturdays we share together. He paid for the book. Haha! He was even more excited than me.


The book is a grand display of Salvacion Lim Higgins' designs throughout the decades. She's dressed a lot of prominent women around the world! Actresses, IT girls, and even royalty. I like how the book followed a time line. SLIM is a legend!

You'll be amazed at how classic her pieces are. Like none of them would look too trendy or baduy from a present-day teenager's perspective. Personally, I still prefer Pitoy Moreno's Ternos, but I would definitely sweat and starve for other Filipiniana-inspired dresses by SLIM.
