Meet V: 20 something years young, loves taking long walks by the beach, having coffee and hanging out with friends, writing poetry and endless conversations about life and love and anything under the sun.
He's single and very ready to mingle...

Since I was going camping anyway, I thought, might as well have the full experience. So, instead of going by plane, we decided to hire a bus. Yes a whole bus, for 23 people since that's how many we were! (although, part of it was that we didn't want to spend a whole lot of money). We found a tour guide who prepared an itinerary for us for 3 days 2 nights with the total cost of... (drum roll please) Php4,600 ALL in. This included all our meals, the bus, the resort in Bagasbas for when we surf and the bangka rides. Not bad right?
Going there was pretty smooth sailing. It took us about 8 hours but we left at night so we were asleep for the most part and didn't really feel the long ride. We headed off to Bagasbas first since it was raining when we arrived and Tj our tour guide didn't want to risk riding the bangka in that weather. It was only about 7am when we got settled in but since the waves were looking incredible, we decided to forego sleep and go straight to surfing. We hired a few instructors before we set out for the waves since for most of us, it would be our first go at it. I absolutely loved it. It's definitely a sport I can see myself doing over and over again. "i" definitely seemed to enjoy herself since she stayed to surf even when everyone was too tired to even move!
bagasbas beach (look how far the waves are!) black sand but really soft!
Day 2: Off to Calaguas! It took us about an hour to get to the port from Surfers Dine Inn (where we stayed in Bagasbas), then another hour and a half to get to Calaguas. I can't really say how beautiful the beach was. It is by far, the nicest beach I've been to.
the sand is really soft, your feet sink into it
Now the camping part... Unfortunately, I was pretty miserable. Haha. I'm not really sure if it was because it was raining (August definitely not the time to go to Camarines Norte) and it was cold and wet; or because there was no real bathroom and "bloody mary" was around which made things extra uncomfortable for me; or because sand mites seem to love the scent of my blood and basically just camped on my legs; or because I had a bad night's sleep cuz we only brought a banig to sleep in. But yeah, I was a walking disaster. Thank God the beach was soooo worth it. Otherwise I would've been bitching the whole time. Some people just aren't meant for the outdoors.
the "embassy" tent. it took about 6 people and 2 hours to set this one up.
So, Calaguas was great. The camping part? Not so much. At least not for me. But, I heard from "i" that there's another great beach we can go to. Camping's involved again but if it's as beautiful as Calaguas, I'd be more than willing to make that sacrifice again...
Till the next ander water adbenchur!
Princess Glutton invited me, R and N to join her garage sale and upon remembering that I had just recently cleaned out my closet and donated/sold my old clothes, I was left rummaging a half empty closet. I only found one piece that I was sure I wasn't going to wear anymore. But even that was too precious to give away.
So this is what I did with it...
This skirt was just too big for me but I found it so pretty and so I ate like a whole cow to hold it up. Never again.
Since I needed an everyday bag I decided to make a, well, everyday bag using the skirt. My teacher always stressed out the importance of basting. But screw that. I was in a hurry to eat dinner.
I sewed the bottom of the skirt together. Yes, I sew at night. Sometimes in the dark.
Not that you'll learn anything from this entry, but here is a close up shot anyway.
I got rid of the buttons too.
Oh look. A canvas laundry bag that I got from Shangri-la. Kids, stealing is bad. I'm pretty sure it was free though. If not, I'm sorry. Anyway, I took out the strings.
Stuffed the strings in there...
Should you receive a fake LV for Christmas from a thoughtful relative (like in my case), you are free to do this to the impostor. Rip it all you want. You know a bag is fake when you get high just ripping out the seams. I don't think Louis Vuitton uses rugby.
If "LV" uses rugby, then I use Bulldog.
I put the buckles in place using the glue before sewing. Obviously, these will hold the strap.
Hand-stitch would be the best method for sewing on a buckle like this, but I was just too lazy.

Big enough to hold my daily essentials. Of course I forgot my wallet.
Now, I wanna talk to you about fake designer bags. Two words: NOT COOL. I will give this talk to my daughter first before discussing the birds and the bees with her. NEVER buy fake bags. Mag Secosana ka nalang.

Voila! Another sling to lug around and torture everyday at the MRT.

This post is long overdue. I just had to wait for all the photos to be uploaded in Facebook so I could post some here.
Shangri-la reminded me so much of Bellarocca. Just replace the Greek houses with huts and both had basically the same layout. It was incredible.
The villas were so nice. We stayed in one of the beach front rooms and N's parents and nephews stayed in the treetop villa. AMAZING.
N chilling with his nephews in the Jacuzzi
I'm already kicking myself in the head for eating so much. I forgot that we had another beach trip coming up. Must go to the gym soon.
My love.
Seafood platter. Oil and Aligue. And Fries. Aray.
Mark Nelson, if you are reading this, I just want to you to know that we are huge fans of Loco Frio! We got N's 10-year old nephew drunk with Your Strawberry Kiwi mix. Accidentally, of course. Huge mix up with the tumblers.
We even found time to reef walk. It was pretty cool. I think this is the first time I went way underwater without crying first.
Me, N, Princess Glutton, Prince Glutton and M, N's 10-year old nephew (slightly intoxicated).
Just wanted to post this because wala lang. N's other newphew, S. We got him watermelon slippers. Super cute.
